The Pursuit of HappinessCOMBINED YOUNG PROFESSIONAL AND YOUTH SESSION: South Level 4 Vista Room S406
“Those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah), and have done righteous deeds, happiness is for them and a beautiful place of (final) return.” [Quran 13:29]
We all want to be happy: the rich and the poor, the old and the young, everyone. But what IS happiness? What does it look like in this lowly world? We all know (from personal experience), that happiness is something that comes and goes and not something that can be easily achieved or bought. So if we can't buy it how do we attain it? |

Revolutionizing Society “...Surely Allah does not change what is in a people until they change what is in themselves...” [Quran 13:11]
The reality of the country we live in is that the majority of our fellow citizens regard Islam as a religion of violence and hate. We're told to practice what we preach. That people take our actions and the way we treat them as individuals as a representation of Islam. Knowing this information, how can we, as individual Muslims, revolutionize this concept? How can we change the views of the people? What we can do? |

The Best You Can BeThe Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, “Indeed Allah loves if one of you were to do an action that he does it with perfection.”
We as Muslims think that when doing “religious” things that we have to do our best because Allah is watching us. When going to the mosque, I have to be my best, but we forget this at the workplace and school. We as muslims sometimes don't put our best work in school, or at our jobs because that part of life isn't really connect with Islam, but we have to understand that EVERYTHING we do can be worship. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ didn't just make his worship in prayer his best, he put out his best with his family, being a teacher, military leader etc. |
2:30 PM - 3:00 PM |
BREAK: Attendees registered in daycare and school programming can be checked in at 2:30 PM. Asr Prayer for locals will be held at the Prayer Area in Hall B at 2:50 PM.

What is Intelligence?“And whatever you have been given is an enjoyment of the life of (this lowly) world and its adornment, and that (the Hereafter) which is with Allah is better and will remain forever. Do you not understand?” [Quran 28:60]
What does it mean to be intelligent? In this day and age, it seems as if the intellectuals of our time are atheists and discredit faith. How do we judge if someone is intelligent? Many people have self esteem issues and feel they are inferior to others regarding grades and achievements. What is the standard for intelligence and how does one take practical steps to become more enlightened? |
