The definition of “culture” will be presented and as well as the aspects of American culture that are acceptable and unacceptable within Islam. Can American Muslims build their own “culture” while maintaining their Islamic identity? Examples from daily American life and interactions will be cited.

سئل الامام احمد بن حنبل (متى يجد العبد طعم الراحة؟) فقال : (عند أول قدم يضعها في الجنة). ومن قبله جعل عمر بن الخطاب (الراحة للرجال غفلة). فمن طلب معالي الامور وجب عليه بذل الغالي والرخيص لتحصيل مراده. هذه المحاضرة تصف الطريق الى الجنة في الاخرة والى بلوغ معالي العز في الدنيا. فبرغم وعورة الطريق الى الجنة الا أن كرامة نهايته المرجوة بالنعيم في رحاب الله وصحبة المصطفى - صلى الله عليه وسلم- تجعل السائر فيه يستعذب التعب ويستسيغ البذل والتضحية، فهل من مشمّر للجنة ؟.

Individuals apprehended by immigration authorities often do not know what is happening and may not understand what their rights are. Many may accept immediate deportation even though they may not have had an opportunity to consult with an attorney and they may not actually be deportable. A person may be eligible to remain in the United States for a variety of reasons, including a well-founded fear of persecution in his or her home country, having a US citizen spouse, or exceptional hardship caused to his or her US citizen children. More than a hundred cases have been identified in the past ten years in which US citizens and lawful permanent residents have incorrectly been placed into removal proceedings. This session deals with human rights and international law which requires due process and international human rights standards and how to avoid detention pending removal proceeding.

Often, this will require us to step outside of our comfort zones and into a vibrant new world of compassionate activism. This session is a call to stand for goodness and light the way of service. |

يقول سبحانه: "الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَتَطْمَئِنُّ قُلُوبُهُمْ بِذِكْرِ اللًّهِ الا بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوبُ". ويتردد مقطع (الذين آمنوا وعملوا الصالحات ...) في آيات القرآن كثيراً مما يجعل الإيمان والاصلاح وجهان لعملة واحدة، فمن حقق الايمان في قلبه طهرت نفسه وزكى عقله ونما عمله وصلح مجتمعهوصلح مجتمعه.وقد أصلح الله المجتمع المسلم الأول وأخرجه من الضلال الى النور ومن الضعف الى القوة عندما حقق معنى الايمان العملي في القلب والسلوك،وإن لم نأخذ قواعد الاصلاح من كتاب الله وهدى نبيّه محمد –صلى الله عليه وسلم- لم نحصل الا على سراب. وهذه المحاضرة تعرض لهذا المفهوم وتضرب مثالاً عملياً من واقع جمعية بشائر الخير في الكويت لمؤسسها "الدكتور عبد الحميد البلالي" والذي عالج بالإيمان مشكلة الإدمان.
