One of this year’s most exciting new program is the 1st Annual MAS-ICNA Convention Quran Competition
The Quran Competition will consist of 4 categories:

| Competition’s Rules |
- Prizes will be given to the Qur’an memorization participants, as shown in the table above.
- Competition has four categories: memorizing the whole Qur’an, half of the Qur’an, one-fourth of the Qur’an (according to the following table) and Juz’a #28.

- The maximum number of contestants per category to qualify for the final is 3 from both genders (males & females contestants combined).
- Winners will be announced during MAS/ICNA 2011 Convention, during the ceremony on Sunday (12/25/2011) night. The competition activities will be held on Friday 12/23/2011, Saturday 12/24/2011 and Sunday 12/25/2011.
- Contestants are not allowed to participate in a category other than the one they have registered for.
- Contestants are allowed to compete in one category only.
- Contestants will be tested as follows: Memorization (75%), and Tajweed (25%). Tests will be conducted during MAS/ICNA 2011 Convention.
- Female contestants (Sisters) who are 21 years or older participating at any level will be judged by Female judges.
- Participant cannot be a Qur'an teacher, an Imam, or a leader.
- If the number of registrants for any level is less than 9, ONLY one winner will be rewarded (One prize only).
- If any contestant scored less than 60/100 in the total score he/she will be disqualified."
- MAS/ICNA organizers reserve the right to dismiss, cancel and/or disqualify any participant without any liability at any time with immediate effect; this includes but is not limited to, any participant who tampers with the operation of the competition or competition site or violates the terms and conditions or any other applicable laws and regulations.
- Participants are responsible for hotel accommodation, food, transportation and all other related expenses.
- Participants have NO right to object, reject, or decline the judge's ruling; Judges’ ruling are final, but if participants have any concern they should address it to the Head of the Judging committee (Sheikh Ameen Al-Ali) or the organizer (Dr. Essam Elhannouny).
- Only one person could accompany a participant if the participant wishes so.
- Participants must agree to the terms and conditions below.
- Registration must be completed on-line only and the deadline is: November 30, 2011 with limited seats, registration will be closed once we reached our limit.
